1 in 10 asthma cases can be avoided with a better urban environment, large-scale study finds

The combination of air pollution, dense urban development and limited green spaces increases the risk of asthma in both children and adults. This is shown by a new study conducted as part of a major EU collaboration led by researchers from Karolinska Institutet. The findings have been published in The Lancet Regional Health—Europe.
